ME, MS & OT!
Ciara O'Meara
(Assistant Professor in General Nursing at the University of Galway)
Occupational Therapists (OT's) enable people living with chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), to participate in the activities of everyday life. They do this by implementing interventions which support and improve daily functioning, participation and quality of life. But do these interventions work? Are these interventions best delivered one to one or in a group setting? Is a hospital or a community setting best? This is where my research comes in! I am working with a team of international experts in both research methods and in rehabilitation in MS, to try and answer those questions.

Ripple - a wave of change in ocean literacy
João Frias
(Senior Scientist - Atlantic Technological University)
Developing sustainable visions of the future can be achieved through understanding the present condition of the Ocean. Ocean literacy is a branch of education that aims to understand the ocean’s influence on us and our influence on on the ocean to ensure those visions of future. Ripple is a art showcase developed within the Waves of Change Project, that aims to bring Ocean knowledge through art. Dive with us into a synergy between art and science, that can create a ripple effect of conservation and Ocean protection.
