I will discuss the relevance of animal diseases to human health - called a One Health perspective

(Associate Professor of Statistics, Maynooth University)
I will talk about my journey of scientific discovery, ranging from a child who loved to count just for the sake of counting to a scientist who is interested in counting animals to develop wildlife monitoring programmes by developing new statistical models. I will also talk about how I combine my passion for science, mathematics, statistics, wildlife and music in public outreach initiatives.
